Farnborough

July 16th, 2014

I’ll be at the CTC Aviation stand at Farnborough on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th.

Feel free to come and get some free CTC goody bags!

Lightweight seats

June 12th, 2014

Some shameless advertising… Monarch are gradually replacing all their seats with lightweight non-reclining purple thingys.

I can’t believe I’m linking to the Daily Mail website but… CLICKY

I promise they are more comfortable than they look.

Also, to offer some balance.

Break Over

June 11th, 2014

It’s been a long time since my last post but I’ve still been taking photos. Summer is starting and flying is becoming more regular. That in combination with fixing cars has put a hold on writing rubbish.

The first person to recognise me from my blog was a dispatcher from EMA. He’s starting with CTC soon which is good news but bad for us at EMA! There aren’t many dispatchers who get things done quickly consistently and are always honest and go out of their way to fix problems to get us away on time.

Anyway, more pictures. They may or may not be in some chronological order.

Canary Islands

March 2nd, 2014

I’ve been to the Canary Islands a lot recently, both for a belated honeymoon and on duty. Here is a selection of photos from my holidays and job.

Serious posts to assist aspiring cadet pilots with their interview processes are on the way still.

Avgeeks may be interested in the last photo. The aircraft is G-ZBAD, one of the first two A321s with IAE engines to be retrofitted with sharklets. Performed by the only company in the UK certified to carry out the retrofit: Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd.

Lanzarote

January 1st, 2014

A change from the stream of Alicante flights. I had a trip out to Lanzarote, also planning on a delayed honeymoon in the middle of January to the same place.
