Just coming to the end of line training. Spending a lot of time exploring Greece and learning about the islands and strange weather!

Ελλάδα

February 10th, 2015

I haven’t posted for a while, anyone familiar with the Monarch situation will know that I haven’t had anything worth saying for a while.

The upshot of the whole situation is that I have now found somewhere hotter to fly from for a while, at least I thought so. I’m in the initial stages of training to fly for Aegean Airlines. It started with selection in Frankfurt:

It then moved quickly onto:

Also an aircraft:

And finally a new country:

The first sight on the ground wasn’t exactly Greek:

Greece is supposed to be hot. Many lies have been told:

Spanish Paper Plane

August 10th, 2014

Malaga have started using their second runway which has lay dormant for months due to a lack of fire and rescue cover. There is only one link taxiway between the busy terminal and the second new runway, this leads to aircraft landing and taxiing in conflicting with aircraft taxiing to the second runway. Sadly they got it wrong today and we were one of 7 aircraft raising our eyebrows at the failed attempt at jet Tetris.

A young passenger made an excellent Monarch paper plane and was rewarded with a fiddle around with all the cool knobs and switches in the flight deck. Happy passengers are fun!
