I’ve been seeing a lot of Alicante recently. Spanish ATC is gradually being privatised, there is an excellent lady from Yorkshire on the tower sometimes. Hearing Spanish in a Yorkshire accent is something to put on your bucket list.
Spain and France have been a little bumpy the last few days. Lots of flashing lumps of water vapour to dodge at night.
I had a one day voyage to Leeds to fly one of the new sharklet-ed A320s to Larnaca. Nice long flight!
Lots of EMA flight happening now. Line flying is really fun! (and serious of course).
Palma seems like a very popular destination for Monarch!
G-ZBAA was around the corner with it’s Leeds based sharklets showing off but it was hidden behind some Germans.
Some EMA shots:
This fat (a little odd looking) shiny thing came and parked and we had to stop boarding to avoid our passengers getting eaten by an engine.
We had a “minor technical problem” in the cruise. Just an indication problem thankfully, I’m not sure jet engines work too well with an EGT of -11.
Eating, sleeping and flying is mainly what I’ve been doing over the last week. The skies have been clear over the UK at night but sadly I only have my phone camera so the photos are a bit pants. Anyway…
